When I was 6 years old, I found faces in plants, in tree bark, in stones, on the ground. It had a name: Pareidolia. I have it. My gaze saw something more in the everyday and magic in the simple.
I have gone through different stages in my journey as an artist. From childhood drawings, I moved on to modeling in clay, restoring handcrafted pieces in my mom’s furniture store, and applying patinas and finishes on walls, which over time became murals of different styles in homes and commercial spaces.
Another stage began when I worked for theme parks, creating characters and bringing them to life through sculpture and painting. I also worked for several years on sets for film, television, and events.
But my soul felt the need to create something of my own, and that’s when I returned to what I had seen as a child and started creating faces in branches, tree bark, and roots. Until one day I realized that a brush could be a face and its bristles its hair. I had found in an everyday object the most inspiring canvas, being able to intervene, giving it life, color, and soul, creating characters that tell a story without words, magical creatures, historical characters.
I firmly believe that art, beyond decorating the world, transforms it with a deep desire to awaken consciousness through each creation, each brush, each intention.
My intention is to merge my two dreams: to create art and to help heal and unite people in our world. That is why I identify with the phrase “Art Will Save the World”. I seek that.
